Andreas Ashikkis
Andreas is a young Cypriot conductor dedicated to bringing orchestral music to life for every audience. He blends his knowledge and passion to deliver inspiring performances.
Highlights of 2024-2025:

National Master in Orchestral Conducting
Since September 2024, Andreas has been enrolled at the prestigious NMO (National Master in Orchestral Conducting) where he is mentored by Jac van Steen, Ed Spanjaard, and Antony Hermus.
He will be assisting orchestras such as the Residentie Orkest, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Belgian National Orchestra and also conducting projects with Het Balletorkest (Cinderella family concert) and the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (Cunning Little Vixen).

Cyprus Symphony Orchestra
Andreas returns twice to the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra for family and educational concerts.
In October, he welcomed “Souzi the Fox” to meet the orchestra and, in February, will collaborate with young pianists from across Cyprus to present Camille Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals.

Dutch National Opera Academy
In April, Andreas will conduct Rossini’s La Cambiale di Matrimonio, in a production by the Dutch National Opera Academy.
The performance will take place at the Bredeweg Festival on King’s Night.
